Yes, there are times they can put in more effort on their work or stop with the chitter chatter when I stop talking for 30 seconds, but I love them all.
They've already earned 46 hallway compliments this year!
The best/worst part of it all is that I will "get on" to them about something and they either THANK me or APOLOGIZE sincerely!
Examples:
Me at recess: DARLING #1 COME HERE PLEASE!
Darling #1: Yes, Ms. Buckler?
Me: It is not safe to play tag at the very top of slide. Please play tag in the grass.
Darling #1: Oh, you're right. I forgot. I'm sorry. Thank you for reminding me.
Not even kidding!
Me during centers: DARLING #2 PLEASE COME HERE!
Darling #2: Yes ma'am?
Me: I did not hear a win-win solution to the problem that just came up over there. Can you please work with your partner to find an appropriate solution?
Darling #2: Oh certainly. I'm sorry I wasn't thinking like a leader. I should go apologize for the way I talked to my partner.
I can't make this stuff up! This set of kids is fabulous and come from fabulous families.
The examples they come up with when we are talking about the 7 Habits of Happy kids could bring tears to your eyes.
Here are some further examples of sweetness.
**These are real children. Not actors. They were not reimbursed for their testimonies.**
The words in this include: amazing, nice, person, pretty. Interpret as you'd like. |
Her grade was not based on that note. |

Those little love notes are precious. They're the things that make it all worth it. I love the little apologies from your kiddos too. Darling!

How cute are they?? You are very lucky. It's my first year and all my kids have never been in the same class before, for a good reason! It has been a struggle getting them to just TOLERATE eachother! Oh boy. Love your blog, btw, I'm a new followers :)

P.S. I would love to know how you got that TPT widget, i can't figure it out!!
ReplyDeleteHere's what I did (it is VERY technical...not):
Delete1. Go to TPT and click "My Sales" (dashboard).
2. Scroll down to "Links to Your Store" (talking bubbles).
3. Click "New Widget". I chose to do my most recent 25.
4. Follow the steps to add a gadget to your sidebar of your blog. You have to add the first invisible one as a HTML gadget and the 2nd one can be moved to wherever you want it.
Let me know if you need more help! =)
Enjoy your amazing class!
