A is for Awards

I am so humbled that anyone even reads my silliness and to get awards on top of that? I am just so thankful.

Sandy at Soaring Through Second Grade and Beth Ann at Taming My Flock of Firsties gave me the One Lovely Blog Award. Thank you ladies!

Soaring Through Second

The rules for this are to pass it on to blogs that you enjoy reading. I want to pass it on to some bloggers that deserve some more followers.

Check these out: (No buttons yet, so just click the links.)

And a teacher I envy. Corrina's in HAWAII! I know I live in Florida, but I'm still a little jealous.

Surfin' Through Second

Also, Jen at Hello Mrs. Sykes gave me the Top 10 Blogger Award. Thanks Jen!

Top 10 TBA

I'm supposed to pass these on to MY Top Ten, but that would be so hard to narrow down. Check out my Second Grade Blogs tab above and my blog list over there ---------> for some awesome inspirations.

Now, I'm going to head to school and shove things in cabinets for my observation tomorrow. Oh, my principal knows I've got a lot packed into my portable. I just don't want anything to fall on her.

I'm hoping to post a freebie of the activity I'm doing during my observations. If it goes well, that is.

Enjoy your Sunday.

L is for Liebster Award

I have been awarded the Liebster Award from some bloggy buddies! This award goes to bloggers with less than 200 followers.

Here are the rules:
Thank the award presenter and post a link back to their blog.
Put the award on your blog.
Pick 5 blogs with less than 200 followers, let them know about the award, and encourage them to pass the award on!

So a big THANK YOU to these ladies:

Ms. T at Second Grade Math Maniac - She's inspired me to get together some take-home math packets.

Laura at Peace, Love, and First Grade - I love that she puts the words 'Peace' and 'First Grade' together.
Peace, Love, & First Grade

Amy at The Crazy Adventures of a University Grad - She is a "Teacher of Call" =)

Now for the blogs that I recommend you check out:
(It was hard for me to pick 5 because so much love has been passed around!)

Lisa at Stories from Second
Melissa at Life Gave Me 2nd Grade...
Linda at Primary Inspiration

And here's what kept me busy yesterday:

Have a Happy Valentine's Day!

B is for {2nd} Blogiversary

Yep, it's that time again. This day marks my 2 year anniversary of starting this blog.

I just want to say, again, that I appreciate each and every one of you for following/reading my blog.

It makes it so much easier to deal with our jobs when we can laugh about things.

I have to say a big THANK YOU to the inspiration of this blog, the one and only Mr. TV. He has no idea the impact he made on my life, but now (two years later) I can say I appreciate it. When I heard him coming down the hallway today {using his "regular" voice saying "HULLO GOV'NA!"} I just had to hug him and say, "Get to class, Sir!"

I also need to say thank you to Miss Kranz at A Day in the Life of Miss Kranz. She awarded me with the Versatile Blogger Award!

Here's what I have to do to accept:
1. Thank the person who presented the award to you and link back to them.
(see above!)
2. Tell seven things about yourself.
-I know I couldn't do a smidge of the things accomplish if I had kids and a husband! You mothers (single OR married) are amazing!
-I collect all things ladybugs because my grandmother and aunt started the tradition long ago.
-I love being the co-captain of our school's Relay for Life team.
-I am obsessed with watching baseball (Go Rays!) and college football games (Go Gators!).
-I am extremely afraid of alligators.
-I've grown up in Florida and have the whitest skin ever!
-My first "job" was feeding calves on a dairy farm.
3. Pass this on to 15 newly discovered blogs and let them know they've received the award.
The 15 is crossed out because there is NO WAY I have the time to "discover" new blogs, but I promise to shout out any new ones I find on my facebook page. I am going with these two:

Made In The Shade In Second Grade
These ladies have some great ideas.

AND

This isn't actually "newly discovered" but I wanted to give some props to Courtney for all of the great Treasures resources she's made (and have saved me tons of time!).

Love to you all,
