Inventive and phonetic spelling crack me up!

A couple of years ago, I did a post on the various spellings my class used for 'pencil'.

This is another post about spelling. It just never gets old.

You know how pesky those b's and d's can be, right?

Hmmm...

I guess he's got /ch/ down.

I'm just glad I didn't have table partners trade and grade. Ms. Precocious would have SURELY found that one.

Enjoy reading this one. I'm a little confused about the activities happening here myself.

In addition to yesterday's 'multiplucate', we now have the word 'rectagon'.

I think we are going to have to make a "Not Real Words" word wall in my class. And keep working on those b's and d's.

I hope you had a terrific Tuesday!

  2. I had to laugh out loud at this! I'm always amazed that our spelling curriculum puts "ditch" on our spelling list in 2nd grade, knowing that those darn b's and d's get confused all the time. I really like those rectagons! :)
